Elaine:

Every time I volunteer at the Union Gospel Mission I believe it can’t get any better than this, and amazingly it does! God was alive and moving as Billy Lambeth and his worship team brought down the house. It was truly something special to be a part of as hands were raised and voices rang out! Steve Pepper’s testimony touched the guests, and gave them hope as he related the loving mercy, and grace the Lord has showered upon his life. My hope and prayer is for each and every student at EPIC to be a part of this ministry at least once; it has changed my life for the better. In the Bible James speaks to us about judging a person by his or her economic status (James 2:2-4) poverty makes us uncomfortable: but what can be more humbling than to have no home, no hope, no savior, it is our call in life as students of the Bible to be “doers of the word and not hearers only” James 1:22. Please answer the call and visit the Mission the third Friday of the month.

Bubby:

I would like to say that these 4 years I have served at the mission truly have shown me how important it is that we as children of God give back our time to reach those that are lost and living in the streets of this Nation. I know deep in my heart that Almighty God did not reach down into that pit that had consumed my life for me to spend my spare time squandering it on something empty and meaningless; indeed, He reaches out through His children to all who are willing to accept the call for His mission. I praise God for allowing me to be a part of His love that He is exercising through Epic Bible down at the mission. The bible says, “For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure” Philippians. 2:13).

Thank you Jesus!

Ron:

Join us next month, October 21st when Pastor Mike Revell of New Covenant Fellowship Church leads praise and our very own Brian Dodson of Epic Bible College share the living Word of God. Let this be the month you make that commit to experience what God is doing within the homeless community at the Union Gospel Mission. Get excited and contact the EPIC office today.
