It was another powerful night of ministering the love of God into the lives of the homeless at the mission Friday. The homeless were lined up in front the building when we arrived, and it was evident by their actions that many of them are bound by serious addictions.
I read in the Sacramento Bee a few weeks back that the resources from the county where going to end for the homeless here in Sacramento in January, and as we approached the front of the Mission, what I read crossed my mind, and my heart was aching for each of them. Each time we go to the mission God powerful moves through those who make a choice to give their time to the guest at the mission, and it was no different on this night. As Minister Ron smith gave a relevant message on recovery, “Change your behavior, Change your life,” I watched the Holy Spirit lift some of those hurting people right out of their seats.
Justin Hardcastle and his team stirred up the crowd with some great worship. Matt Balling, “Chosen Theologian,” sang a special song Between the worship, special music, and the message, those in desperate need were inspired to come forward for prayer. There were 120 in attendance. Our Prayer warriors prayed for 13 men. Philippians. 2:13; says, “for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Amen!
