Friday, June 18 was indeed an edifying night in the Lord. It is a privilege to see the body of Christ in action: fellowshipping, growing, and laboring in the love of Jesus Christ for the advancement of His Kingdom, for the saving of souls. The men and women who answered the call witnessed how our Almighty God uses His children to be His loving hands reaching those in need of deliverance from the drugs, alcohol, and the many ways Satan has bound them and caused them to believe lies from the pit of hell.
Professor Sudborough brought a powerful word to the people. There was no doubt that our Lord and Savior was seeking to reach each and every willing soul who was seeking freedom and restoration. Billy Lambeth, and his team from Crossroads Community Church in Rocklin, ushered those at the mission into the presence of the Lord with some Holy Spirit lead worship. The room was filled with a confident belief that our God is a willing, merciful, powerful and loving Creator who wants to help in time of need. As the Bible says in Hebrews 10:35, “So, therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.” Amen!
I would like to encourage each of you to please come and be a part of God’s incredible loving hands at work. If you have a passion to see our God operate in amazing ways, and have not yet made your way to the mission, you are missing out on Gods great work right here in Sacramento. So, remember on the 3rd Friday of every month at the Union Gospel Mission, 400 Bannon Street, we’ll be looking for you. May God fill you with the same passion that He has put in our hearts for the lost and broken!
