Greetings saints,

I cannot say enough about the move of the Spirit of God at the Union Gospel Mission in July, our 28th month since we began this outreach in April of 2008.  Friday July 16th was nothing less than spectacular as the anointing of God flowed freely.

The love of God was so prevalent that the evidence shined forth through the praise and worship, the testimony, the preached word of God and through the individual prayers of each volunteer prayer warrior.

A wonderful shout out to the Woodland Christian Center Worship Team who opened with an outstanding compilation of songs that made the atmosphere come alive with jubilant praise. The grand finale was the Union Gospel Mission’s theme hymn “Amazing Grace.”

Our own Steve Pepper followed the music, sharing his testimony of what the Lord has brought him through. Many in the audience totally related to his Celebrate Recovery story. Some are experiencing the same set of circumstances and needing the same type of deliverance Steve received.

A simple yet profound word from the New Testament was preached by Reverend Paul Lee: Ephesians 2:8-9, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.” Rev. Lee stated salvation is a free-gift and a three-step process: 1) Believe 2) Confess 3) Receive.

The altar had folks lined up from one end to the other.  They, prompted by Holy Spirit, accepted this free-gift and plunged into the process, making Jesus Lord of their life for the first time or re-dedicating their life from a backslidden condition. Prayer warriors had their hands full this month as lives were truly touched by God’s unconditional love.

You have an open invitation to our next celebration Friday August 20. Kristy Stevens will lead praise and worship, a group called “Uncommon” will sing a special song, and George Beasley, Pastor of Dominion Faith International Church and Epic Bible College student; will preach the word of God.

What more can I say about the move of the Spirit of God at the Union Gospel Mission Outreach except contact the Epic Bible College office today. Let them know you want to experience nothing less than a spectacular move of God as the anointing flows freely in hurting men and women in need of salvation. God bless you — your actions and prayers are making a difference.
