UGM Archive | January 2010
Greetings saints,
Another night of Holy Ghost success as the New Year kicked off at the Union Gospel Mission on January 15, 2010. As the old hymn says: “We entered His gates with thanksgiving in our heats, we entered His courts with praise, we said this is the day the Lord has made, we all rejoiced because He has made us glad.”
Glad–given that over 25 volunteers came out to pray and lend a helping hand. Glad because praise and worship, lead by Sarah Castillo, brought us into the presence of Almighty God with His host of angels. Glad for the reason that the special song by Danny Arroyo reminded us of who it is that saves us. Glad as the anointed word of God went forth through Minister Jim Fitzgerald leading the crowd into a prayer of declaration encouraging hope for a better future.
After all was said and done, over 15 men and women stood at the altar in surrender to the King-of-kings and Lord-of-lords. The prayer warrior volunteers were available to stand in agreement with those who responded to the altar and declared their freedom. The Bible says, “How could one man chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up?” (Deut. 32:30) Jesus receives all the glory and honor.
Join us next month on February 19th from 7:30-8:30 p.m. as we — once again — enter His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts and enter His courts with praise… Kristy Stevens will lead praise while Bubby Wallace brings the anointed word of God. Contact the TLBC office today to commit your time, talents, and gifts of love to the homeless of Sacramento and let us rejoice because He has made us glad.
