Greetings Saints,
The third Friday of every month is one of my favorite nights. It is indeed a direct calling from our God to demonstrate love to those at the Union Gospel Mission, and lead the guests to put their trust, faith and hope in Almighty God. Twenty-one willing servants came expecting God to do miraculous things in the lives of the hurt and homeless. There were many at the mission who got their hearts filled with faith, trusting that God is indeed willing to do a wonderful work in their lives. Iris Lopez and her youth team ushered the house into the Lord’s presence through music.
Pastor Wendell Rogers shared a powerful testimony of the work that God has done in his life, work that began after he put his faith in our awesome God. The word of God went forth and stirred up the guests. It brought them out of their seats, and they took great steps of faith for prayer at the altar.
The Bible states “But without faith it is impossible to
please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). I prayed that the faith of every one of those guests at the mission grows and that God sends each of them on a life saving Journey that delivers them into the everlasting loving arms of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen!
