Greetings in the mighty name of Jesus,
Who says men cannot dream again? Many of us, if not all, dreamed when we were children to experience a good life, do something special, or simply live the American dream. No one purposes to be homeless, lose their family or be addicted to drugs. There are people who have given up on themselves, caught up in the system of mediocrity, on the brink of suicide and have just a flicker of hope left for a better future.
The Union Gospel Mission is a place where lives can be touch, minds renewed and healthy dreams resurrected. This is exactly what happened Friday August 20 when Epic Bible College Outreach prayed for the twenty plus men and women who gave their lives to Jesus. Kristy Stevens led praise and worship with an angelic orchestra including the UGM audience. With words displayed on the overhead and the anointing on her lips, it was no wonder the crowd joined in as the heavenly sound broke the yoke.
Pastor George Beasley of Dominion Faith International Church conveyed a rich word from the Lord concerning Joseph’s dream in Genesis 37:1-5. He related Joseph’s life to ours as going from the “Pit, to Prison, to the Palace.” When a person is in the PIT he is simply a Person In Transition. God helps us dream out of the prison of our minds and we end up in the palace, which is the kingdom of Almighty God.
Once the closing prayer ended and the altar call given, excitement loomed for those who came forth. Heartrending prayer requests stirred fervent prayer warriors who stood in agreement for deliverance as they offered each petition to the Lord. Appeals for family restoration, healing from suicidal thoughts, stable housing, behavioral change, and freedom from drug addiction are just a few of the many needs.
