Associated Student Body (ASB)

Our vision is to see every student who begins their journey at TLBC finish his or her course. The Associated Student Body hopes to achieve this by standing on the “Spirit of the Law” in scripture concerning:
Unity – Our passion is to preserve the “Spirit of unity” that has been established at TLBC. Eph. 4:3 says: “being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Equality –All students are respected and valued. We promote multicultural friendships. No cliques or racial barriers. 2 Cor. 8:14 says: “At the present your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality.”
Student Involvement –All participate in HELPS ministry on campus and abroad. Eph. 4:16 says: “From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
Success – Our vision is for all students to become successful in whatever God has called them to. Including Graduation Day! Phil. 1:6 “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
09/10 ASB has established the following 4 goals for this school year that directly line up with our vision:
Goal 1: 09/10 ASB is committed to making everyone feel welcome and at home, building each other up in love, and bringing day and night students together in unity.
Status: Achieved and Continues. We love welcoming students. Do your part and greet/meet some one you haven’t yet.
Goal 2: 09/10 ASB wants to make sure that a comfortable and successful atmosphere is provided for both day and night students.
Status: Achieved and Continues. ASB voted fellowship chapels back in to help give night students a little time to fellowship and not feel so rushed by a condensed night schedule.
Goal 3: 09/10 ASB wants to find a way to effectively communicate college needs and service opportunities in areas like: snack bar, chapel, and major events. To always encourage others to get involved in the wonderful things the college has for us all to enjoy.
Status: In Progress. Our school has a wonderful body of students who love to get involved. We had many students who volunteered at last year’s graduation, banquet, barbecue, and this year’s homecoming. Although we have great student involvement, 09/10 ASB is still organizing and discussing ways to make sure that no heavy load falls on any one person.
Goal 4: 09/10 ASB desires to see a Tutoring Program established to assure students every opportunity for success.
Status: In Progress. 08/09 and 09/10 ASB presidents have met with the Dean of Academics regarding what this would entail. Milestones include: Tutor training, developing a vision, and a data base of potential tutors.

Alex Williams

My name is Alex. I first came to Trinity Life Bible College in the fall of 2007. God directed me here in that special way that He directs us all. He closed the door to the special job I wanted. He built the desire in me for education in music and ministry. Now, here I am; and if I know anything, it is that I am where God wants me to be. I am being filled with all the tools and experiences necessary for that next step in my life, whatever area of ministry it may be in, and wherever it may take me. I dream of it.
In spite of desire to be in the thick of ministry, I am content right now to be preparing for my future by attending TLBC. I enjoy TLBC so much that I am more involved here than at my church. This is how I came to be a part of the Associated Student Body (ASB). I love to think that, for me, doing God’s will means hanging out with people at school and enjoying myself, while serving students and learning more about God.
Even though TLBC is a college, it is also a body of dedicated believers who have decided to devote their lives to God. This makes our school unique and our fellowship great! Believing that God has given me the gift of hospitality, I do my best to make students feel comfortable and get all they need during their stay. If you are one of these life-dedicated students then welcome to the family. I hope I can do the same for you, and you, in turn, can do the same for others.

I had a unique experience coming to Trinity. I started my first class in the winter of 2005, at just 16 years old and have taken classes every quarter since. Having started at such a young age, I was afraid of not being accepted. However, I was instantly welcomed and embraced by the student body and office staff. TLBC has helped me in many ways. It helped me to mature emotionally and spiritually, grow in my walk with God, and prepared me for a mission trip that I went on in the summer of 2007. I can’t thank God enough for my time here at TLBC. I feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful school and thankful for the student body here. It is just like one giant family – all the students are a part of each other’s lives and it’s such a cheerful, loving environment to be in. God is moving at TLBC and I’m grateful to be apart of His plan!
